Cheadle Hulme School is one of the leading co-educational schools in Britain, founded over 150years ago the school has now grown to over 1400 pupils and 100 teachers and is set in 83 acres of Cheshire countryside.
Browns were appointed by Cheadle Hulme School to construct a new English Language Teaching Block. The new facilities constructed by Browns provided state of the art teaching accommodation for the staff and students.
The new block was constructed adjacent to existing teaching facilities and a link was created to join the two buildings.
Construction Challenges:
Throughout the construction programme the school was fully operational and the site was occupied with students. Therefore all construction activities had to be carefully planned to ensure that no disruption to teaching was caused. The project team worked closely with college staff to ensure that at all times the welfare of staff, students and local community were considered.
