Sir John Deane’s is a well renowned 6th form college in Cheshire which provides further education for students from 16 to 19, in addition to adult education courses.
Browns were appointed to undertake an extensive project to construct a new 6th form college.
The facilities constructed by the team from Browns included classrooms and lecture rooms, administration facilities, refectory and catering facilities, staff welfare accommodation, playgrounds, car parking and external landscaping.
Construction Challenges:
Throughout the construction programme areas of the college were operational and the site was occupied with students. Therefore all construction activities had to be carefully planned to ensure that no disruption to teaching was caused. The project team worked closely with college staff to ensure that at all times the welfare of staff, students and local community were considered.
