Collar House Nursing Home is a residential care home for the elderly offering short stay care, long stay care, assisted living and physiotherapy care. The impressive building is set in beautiful landscaped grounds within a quiet residential area of Prestbury.
Browns were appointed to build a major extension to the existing nursing home which provided further residential care facilities for the guests.
In addition to the new wing constructed, Browns also undertook a complete refurbishment of the care home including the refurbishment of communal areas, guest rooms, catering facilities, administration facilities and staff welfare areas.
Construction Challenges:
Collar House Nursing Home is located in a prestigious residential area and accessed by a private driveway. The project team had to ensure that disruption to local residents due to traffic, noise, dust, vibration etc was kept to a minimum at all times and conducted frequent community liaison.
