Browns have been awarded with the first phase of the regeneration of the Barnes Hospital site at Cheadle,  which entails the renovation and conversion of the Grade II listed building of historical and local significance into a luxury housing development.  Two further phases are expected to run consecutively after the first phase.

Barnes Hospital in Cheadle is over 115 years old and has been empty for the last 9years.  Browns will transform the site into 53 apartments and 7 townhouses with parking.

Browns has considerable experience in listed building restoration / regeneration.   This redevelopment project will be completed in 3 stages the first is expected to take 78 weeks.

Construction Challenge
The building is Grade II Listed and the Planning Permission contains numerous Conditions relating to the proposed refurbishment works in accordance with an Heritage Agreement.

Following on from this Initial Phase the Development will be progressed to a further two phases to form a new build residential community.

To cater for the growing family market the scheme includes a podium deck Play Area under which will form the Car Park Serving some of the 1st Phase of the development.
